CORRUGATED
STEEL SHEET (CSS)- various scales
![](images/CSS7WEB_LARGE.jpg)
The
photograph shows the realistic effect which can be obtained
by using corrugated steel sheet of scale size and thickness.
The guy on the left is painting the original fence whilst
his colleague is installing new panels. The rusty shed
was built entirely from corrugated sheets and soldered
together, using an acid flux. Soon afterwards, it was
noticed that rust was beginning to appear on the sheets
(an effect of the evaporation of the flux). Some hours
later, the shed had rusted completely, with a most pleasing
effect. On this gauge 0 diorama the "new"
sheets were given a coat of clear varnish to preserve
their shiny finish.
