We aim to ship orders by the most economical means, whilst taking into consideration other factors, namely:

Size & weight - this determines which services can or cannot be used

Value - certain services include compensation for goods lost or damaged in transit.

Urgency - various options are available, ranging from Guaranteed Next-Day, to 3-5 day delivery.

Location - some charges applied by carriers attract a surcharge for certain postcodes within the UK, both on the mainland or off-shore.

U.K.

On 2 April 2013, the postal rates applied by Royal Mail™ changed. The increase in charges was accompanied by changes to the maximum size of package which can be sent within each price band.

Accordingly, many of our metal products of 500mm or 18 inch length, cannot be sent under the small packet tariff.

The tables below outline the various options which are available.

Overseas

Packets, up to 2Kg., are usually sent by airmail using Royal Mail Airmail Small Packet tariff.    The table below gives examples of a 2Kg. consignment to 3 world zones.

Heavier consignments are sent by Air Freight for onward delivery by local logistics company, (typically DHL, Fed-Ex, TNT etc.). There is a charge for the first 5Kg., plus an additional fee per 1Kg. thereafter. Charges are dependent on 10 world zone destinations.

The table below gives typical examples for 3 zones, based on a consignment weight of 6Kg.

Maximum weight varies per carrier, but is usually 30Kg.
